Mesquite, TX – Dec. 17, 2025 – The Dallas Business Journal has recognized the City of Mesquite as the second-leading city in North Texas among 26 cities for economic development deals in 2024.
Mesquite made 13 deals in 2024 valued at $2 billion ($1.6B residential; $400M commercial.) Deals include executed development agreements plus new capital investment by major projects from Solterra Texas at $1.4B, Talia at $202M, and Hithium at $200M to name a few.
Other cities in the top 10 are Ft. Worth (1), Garland (3), Dallas (4), Allen (5), Arlington (6), Mansfield (7), Anna (8), Richardson (9), and Irving (10).
