Hithium Opens $200M Battery Energy Storage Manufacturing Facility in North Texas

Hithium—a global leader in integrated energy storage solutions based in Xiamen, China—officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Mesquite last Thursday, marking an investment of nearly $200 million in the project.
Over 200 industry leaders, local government officials, and community partners gathered to witness the opening of the nearly half-million-square foot facility, which is located within Stream Realty Partners’ 20 East Trinity Pointe business development at 12955 FM 2932 off I-20 in Mesquite. The new facility, a retrofit of an existing industrial building, was designed and built by Lexington, Kentucky-based Gray Construction.
Founded in 2019, Hithium specializes in battery energy storage systems (BESS). Its stationary energy storage products are designed for utility-scale as well as commercial and industrial applications. The company is known for innovations including “groundbreaking” safety improvements to its lithium-ion batteries as well as increases in the lifecycle of its battery energy systems.
